Questions to Ask Before Buying Any Flight Pass

Direct answer: Before paying anyone for companion travel access, get clear written answers on: seat guarantees (there are none — anyone promising them is lying), what happens if the employee leaves their job, refund terms, vetting, and total cost including per-flight taxes.

The checklist

1. "Are seats guaranteed?" The only honest answer is no. Standby is space-available by definition.
2. "What happens if the sponsoring employee quits or is terminated?" A legitimate service addresses this in the agreement.
3. "What exactly do I pay, and when?" You should see the pass cost and understand that per-flight taxes/fees are extra and route-dependent.
4. "What are the refund terms?" In writing, before payment. Ours are published here.
5. "How are employees vetted?" Matching strangers without vetting endangers both sides.
6. "Is this service affiliated with an airline?" No independent marketplace is — claims of airline endorsement are a red flag.

• Guaranteed seats or "confirmed tickets" at standby prices.
• Pressure to pay before an application or agreement.
• No written terms, no refund policy, no real contact channel.
